League: Negro National League
History: Founded in 1930, the Louisville Black Caps played in the Negro National League. The team's history was short and tumultuous, spending 1931 going by the name Louisville White Sox, then reverting back to the Black Caps monicker for 1932 as they joined the Negro Southern League. Just five months into the 1932 season the team relocated and became the Columbus Turfs for the remainder of the season before folding. Infielder and future Baltimore Elite Giants All-Star Sammy Hughes featured for Louisville in 1930 and '31.
