I'm not sure if you've seen the Twitter video that went viral where this guy cut the brim off of his classic navy blue New York Yankee fitted hat, making it some sort of new style of hat. It has the look of a supersized Yarmulke (Jewish hat). We could not really judge the hat all that well because the video was too close to his head and rotating rather quickly and besides that it is only seconds in length. However, after looking at it a few more times it does not look that bad.
NFL Carolina Panthers Quarterback Cam Newton was rocking a brimless Panthers fitted to one of his press conferences as well and it looked interesting on him.
Because there was a rave about the Brimless fitted hat, we can only guess that someone will also cut the brim off a New Era sport team snapback hat as well.
Since this video has been posted, we've witnessed many people under various social media platforms, especially on Instagram, requesting the brimless fitted hat from New Era Co. According to Complex New Era responded with this following statement "The Yankees 59FIFTY is so iconic and the brim is a key part of that signature aesthetic, so we wouldn’t right now. Having said that, with trends changing at lighting speed, we would never say never." You can however, have fun turning your own fitted hats into a brimless fitted hat by watching the YouTube video below created by YouTuber Paul Soles.
